Box for a Liquifly Fizz Rocket

Shoot over to one of our stories and comment by 3 April for your chance to win

To celebrate the launch of Double Helix Extra, we’ve scoured the Double Helix prize cupboards and found some fantastic little rockets to give away. These Liquifly Fizz Rockets take vinegar and bicarb and turn them into motion! Simply measure in the fuel, and the rocket will fly more than five metres.

For your chance to win one of three Liquifly Fizz Rockets, simply leave a comment on our website! You can comment on a recent post, or browse through our older stories and find something that really piques your interest. The most insightful comments posted before Tuesday 3 April 2018 will win.

  1. I have enjoyed both the science and Maths emails over the years. The new look combined Double Helix Extra brings them together. I like the way that the quiz and brainteaser now take you to an online area where your efforts are scored. A nice feel all round.

  3. The students and teachers I work with have enjoyed and learnt lots from the Science and Maths Helix. Each week we work through the brainteasers to learn together, and experiment with most of the Science experiments. We have found it to be a useful and creative learning and thinking tool.

  7. I like that the emails have merged, one less email to enter my inbox. I also love the new look and feel, refreshing with interesting articles, and even one for mum, the potpourri recipe, awesome.

  8. I am not fabulous at maths nor science but Double Helix breaks it all down into information that is easy to understand and relevant. As a result, I am getting more fabulous at maths and science and, more importantly, I am enjoying these subjects!

  9. Great to see the mathematicians have come to realise that they are a part of the scientific world and have joined with the science geeks to make the world a better place. Love the fact that Double Helix is moving with everyone else in recognising the strong links between these subjects and to do one with purpose you also need the other. Love the fact that there is now a link to an online quiz, puts the pressure on to know the answer rather than just scrolling to the bottom of the page. Keep up the great work.
